Jennifer Salluzzo, MD

Dr. Salluzzo specializes in advanced minimally invasive surgery including complex foregut and bariatric surgery, abdominal wall surgery, general surgery.

Experience

Dr. Salluzzo completed her Minimally Invasive Surgery/Bariatric Fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She completed her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, and her general surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. During her career, Salluzzo has studied enhanced recovery protocols for postoperative management of bariatric patients, as well as bariatric surgery and protocols for the prevention and management of dehydration after bariatric surgery.

Practice

Dr. Salluzzo joined VCU Health, Division of Bariatrics and Gastrointestinal Surgery, in August 2016 as an Associate Professor.

Education

A general surgeon with advanced training in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Salluzzo completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, a general surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a Minimally Invasive Surgery/Bariatric Fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
