Dr. Stephen M. Chen joined Richmond Plastic Surgeons after practicing at VCU Health for eight years. He has extensive experience in microvascular surgery, Post Bariatric body contouring and facial aesthetics. He is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of American Society of Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Education

Dr. Chen attended Duke University for his undergraduate degree, majoring in biology. He then received his Medical Degree and completed the Plastic Surgery residency program at Virginia Commonwealth University. Subsequently, he pursued another year of training, completing a fellowship with Dr. James Grotting in Birmingham, Alabama, in Aesthetic Surgery and Microvascular Breast Reconstruction.
