Jaqueline Platamone, DO, is an obstetrician and gynecologist who cares for patients at the Short Pump location of Virginia Women’s Center.
From the time she was a little girl, Dr. Platamone knew she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. Her journey led her to women’s healthcare, where she found her true calling during her OBGYN rotation in medical school.
Dr. Platamone is dedicated to providing support and education to empower her patients to take control of their health. She believes in truly listening to her patients, ensuring they feel heard and supported every step of the way. She approaches each day with enthusiasm, eager to get to know her patients and help them live their lives to the fullest.
One of the things Dr. Platamone loves most about her work is the continuity of care. Building relationships with her patients allows her to provide personalized solutions to improve their lives, whether it’s through obstetric or gynecological care.
Outside the office, Dr. Platamone enjoys spending time with her husband who shares her passion for medicine and their three beloved dogs. They stay active through activities such as working out, rock climbing, and mountain biking. Exploring new restaurants and breweries is also a favorite pastime, as is cheering on their favorite college football teams.
