This prestigious accolade honors outstanding ambulatory surgery centers in the United States based on quality of care, patient experience, and reputation.

Newsweek’s America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2023 ranking is determined based on an extensive survey of medical professionals–including doctors, nurses, and hospital administrators. The survey evaluates facilities’ performance data, factoring in patient outcomes, safety protocols, and reputation.

The third edition of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers awarded the leading 510 ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) in the United States based on quality of care, performance data and peer recommendations, relative to in-state competition.
MEDRVA is an independent, not-for-profit, health care organization based in Richmond, Virginia. It opened to the public in 1952 as the Richmond Eye Hospital. Today MEDRVA Healthcare includes two outpatient surgery centers with 16 operating and procedure rooms, an imaging center, the region’s only low vision center, and the MEDRVA Foundation.
