RICHMOND, Va. — MedRVA Healthcare is pleased to welcome Barry Daniel Long, MD, to its growing network of surgeons. Dr. Long will join Commonwealth ENT on September 1 and begin performing procedures at MedRVA Healthcare in October 2026.
Dr. Long is an otolaryngologist specializing in comprehensive ear, nose and throat care for both pediatric and adult patients. His clinical interests include obstructive sleep apnea treatment, endoscopic sinus surgery and the treatment of a broad range of ENT conditions.
Originally from southeast Texas, Dr. Long earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University before receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He came to Richmond to complete his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University and has remained in Virginia ever since.

Dr. Long’s addition expands MedRVA Healthcare’s network of surgeons and strengthens its relationship with Commonwealth ENT as the organization continues to grow access to high-quality outpatient surgical care in the Richmond region.
