Peter Miller, MD, FACS, FASCRS

Practice

Dr. Miller joined Colon & Rectal Specialists in July 2016. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery for colon cancer, rectal cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease. He also has a special interest in the treatment of fecal incontinence. Dr. Miller sees patients at our Stony Point and Henrico Doctors' of­fices. He is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.

Education

Dr. Miller received his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University and his medical degree from the University of Mary­land Medical School. He completed his general surgery training at Steward Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston, MA as well as a research year at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans with a focus on national outcomes following colorectal surgery and translational colon cancer stem cell research. He completed his training with a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Brown University in Providence, RI.
